SPEAKING ENGAGEMENTS
Family Law Symposium
John P. Paone, Jr. will again be a keynote speaker at the 2009 Family Law Symposium sponsored by the Institute for Continuing Legal Education. The Symposium is considered the seminal family law continuing legal education course and is attended by approximately 400 practicing attorneys from across the state. The Symposium will take place in January 2009. Mr. Paone's topic will cover the top ten family law cases decided in 2008.
Family Law Section
John P. Paone, Jr. will be a panelist at the Family Law Secton program to take place May 21, 2008 at the Trump Taj Mahal Hotel, in Atlantic City. The program concerns family law ethics and is presented as part of the New Jersey State Bar Association Annual Convention.
Albin Report
John P. Paone, Jr. will appear before the New Jersey Supreme Court on May 28, 2008 to address the Report regarding the publication of court records and the impact it will have on litigants throughout the state. The Committee issuing the Report, chaired by Justice Barry Albin, calls for the hyper-dissemination over the internet of many court records, including divorce pleadings, motions, orders and judgments.
Hot Tips Seminar
Megan S. Murray will be a speaker at this year's Hot Tips for Family Lawyers, which will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2008, at the New Jersey Law Center from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.. Ms. Murray will be speaking on the subject of determining child support in those situations where the parents' combined income exceeds the Child Support Guidelines.
